Gary Villeneuve has 35 years of experience in Business Continuity Planning, Business Management, Risk Analysis, and Business Process Analysis including integration of technology, Continuity of Operations (COOP), and Continuity and Recovery Plan development.
Gary holds a MS degree in Systems Analysis/Business from University of West Florida. He has been published in Disaster Recovery Journal Magazine, Professional Association Newsletters and several Department of Defense (DoD) official documents. Mr. Villeneuve received his CBCP certification from the Disaster Recovery Institute International in 1995 and his MBCP certification in 2002.
With 25 years in DoD, Mr. Villeneuve has used his highly developed skill in such areas as strategic planning, project management, database administration, change management, facilities management in mainframe, midframe and client server computing. As Database Administrator for DoD, Gary designed, developed and managed the implementation of the Defense Civilian Pay System (DCPS) database. The DCPS executes on IBM mainframe systems and currently pays over 300,00 DoD employees. As COOP Planner for DoD, Gary provided guidance and oversight to six Defense Megacenters, which included hotsite requirements definition, datacenter consolidation and responsibility for implementation of technology solutions.
He has worked in the industries of communications, software development and support, government, education and videography.
Mr. Villeneuve has strength in outstanding technical expertise and analytical skill which he applies to provide outstanding consulting and business continuity guidance. As a Business Continuity Professional, he has provided Business Continuity and COOP consulting services to business and government.
